Women in Voice Boston – September Meet-up
Tuesday, September 27th, 5:30PM – 6:15PM
Please hold the date for this month’s special WiV Boston meet-up, featuring special guest presenter Dr. Rébecca Kleinberger –voice expert and researcher in the MIT Media Lab’s Opera of the Future group and the McGovern Institute. The topic of September’s discussion is: Designing Holistic Voice Technologies to Create Connections Between People Across Species and Within the Individual
Per Dr. Kleinberger, vocal experiences can take many forms (audible, tangible, silent, internal, external, neurological, remote, etc.) and offer great potential to turn otherness into togetherness. In this talk, she’ll present a series of immersive voice technologies and introduce a holistic framing of the voice, in its experiential nature, based on its power to connect.
