Women in Voice Announces Return of Female Founder Pitch Event Series with Amazon Alexa Startups

February 8, 2022

Official WiV Logo (Teal Circle)Women in Voice (WiV) today announced the return of the Female Founder Pitch Event Series with Amazon Alexa Startups. The program heads into its second year as both organizations continue their support of early stage female and gender minority identifying founders working on innovation in voice and conversational AI.

In 2021, 20 female founders were featured from around the world, including the US, UK, Russia, and South Africa. Companies featured were from a breadth of industries including fintech, dating, sports tech, mental health, femtech, autonomous vehicles, speech tech, edtech, and many more. Last year on the investor and funder side, 8 female investors were available to answer questions and provide feedback to founders at the Women in Voice events.

Last year’s founders continue to thrive. Here are some highlights of their success:

In 2022, both Women in Voice and Amazon Alexa Startups plan to participate in 3 pitch events, a founder showcase event, and a happy hour event in 2022. Additionally, office hours will be hosted throughout the year to provide community, support, and onramps for rising founders.

The Alexa Startups team engages founders and investors through startup programs, business development, and technical support and works alongside with the Alexa Fund that provides up to $200 million in venture capital funding to fuel voice technology innovation.

Ready to pitch? Female and nonbinary Founders of preseed to series A startups in the voice and conversational AI space can apply to pitch for the event on the WiV website (Free Application).

Are you a founder who wants to talk with us in a welcoming environment? Come to Office Hours.
